Long-term Goals Long-term goals which would be accomplished in about 12 years. Long-term Goal 1 The University of Fukui cultivate outstanding human resources who show outstanding performance as high-level professionals in the 21st century global society. The University of Fukui implements world-class education and provide a thorough training for each and every one of the students. We actively support the human development of the students with an environment whereby both students and faculty devote themselves together to their continuous growth, and cultivate and produce outstanding human resources who show outstanding performance as high-level professionals in the 21st century global society with their advanced expertise and high sociality. Long-term Goal 2 The University of Fukui respects the original research of each and every one of its faculty the center of excellence based on such as region featured reseach and achieves excellent world-class results through those unique researches. The University of Fukui, as the only or best educational and research institution in the region, respects the autonomic and original research of each and every one of its faculty as well as develops the center of excellence based on tradition and feature of region in the fields of education, medical sciences and engineering. We achieve excellent world-class results through those unique researches. Long-term Goal 3 The University of Fukui leads regional development through excellent education, research and medical care, and contributes to the affluent society. The University of Fukui leads regional development through; the education which cultivates human resouce for the affluent society, the research which brings acquisition of new knowledge and strengthening of technology and social foundation cooperate with industy and government, and advanced medical services and cultivation of physician. We contribute to the affluent society corresponding to the regional and international society of the next generation. Long-term Goal 4 The University of Fukui sets up the necessary organizations and systems people who study and work are active with the feeling of both pride and hope, and make the energetic university which is relied on by the society The University of Fukui sets up the organizations and systems in which students, faculty and staff are active in education, reserach, and contribution to the society, as well as ensures accountability for the mission of university referred to by the society by operating the university based on the appropriate evaluation.
