Associate Professor Shoko Miyagawa and Senior Lecturer Shima Ishikawa of Keio University School of Nursing and Medical Care, in collaboration with Fujisawa City Public Health Center, received the Kanagawa Public Health Association Research Encouragement Award (Sugiura Award) for their research results presented in 2022. Title: A Study of Institutional Outbreaks of New Type of Coronavirus Infections http://www.kanagawa-koeikyo.jp/kanagawa/img/r5_grant_award.pdf At Keio University School of Nursing and Medical Care, in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus in 2020, volunteer faculty members, mainly in the field of community nursing, joined the Fujisawa City Public Health Center to support active epidemiological surveys and cluster response at elderly facilities.In this study, the health center analyzed the occurrence of the disease in elderly residential facilities where it conducted a proactive epidemiological survey and examined the factors that prevent clusters from occurring, based on the characteristics of each facility type.This activity led to an agreement between Fujisawa City and Keio University School of Nursing and Medical Care on the promotion of community health activities as of April 1, 2023, with the aim of contributing to the promotion of healthy community development that is sustainable and takes advantage of local characteristics. ツイート « Prev.
