The purpose of the Dormitory is to offer accommodation for international students and researchers. We also aim to the development of international exchange of education and research.  It is not possible the classification of the room except for a family stay. As mentioned above, the procedures for the dormitory (payment of the rent, procedures to leave, etc.) are not accepted while the business of Tottori University is closed. Depending on the state of application, each can accommodate one person, two people, or a family. (*2)··· 2,000 yen for facility fees + 300 yen for self‐government association membership fees. Usage Fee (monthly) Please pay your usage fee shown above to the office by the day set in the delivery notice and the paid fee cannot be returned.  Single international students stay at single rooms, and single researchers stay at single rooms in A building. However, when the room is full, you may stay at different rooms.   Fees of August and September need to be paid in July When you leave in August or September, please inform the office by July 10th, or fees for August and September will be charged. Other Expenses Common-Area Charge (charged monthly) Please pay common-area charge when you pay monthly room fee payment to the office. This charge is for internet fee, commodity (kitchen appliances, garbage bag, etc.), and for cleaning of lounge, kitchen, hallway, and stairs. If you stay in the international house for 15 days or less during the month when you move in or out, you need to pay half of the monthly common-area charge. If you stay in the Dormitory for 16 days or more during the month when you move in or out, you are charged full monthly common-area charge. Cleaning Fee (charged when you move in or change room) Cleaning fee is used for room cleaning after you move out. Deposit (charged when you move in) Deposit is used for repairing room and equipment. If your room doesn’t have any damages, it will be returned to you when you move out. However, you should pay for the shortage when the amount of repair is more than the deposit you paid. Both cleaning fee and deposit should be paid in a lump sum with the usage fee when you move in (or change room) regardless of the duration of your stay.  Utility bill (electricity, tap water, gas) You should make contract for electricity and gas, and you are responsible for your payment. The office staff will take the procedures for your contract on your behalf. For tap water, each room has a water meter and the office staff reads it every month. Please pay your water charge at the office every month.   All the residents equally pay for the electricity, gas and water bill of the common area each month. It is prohibited to use the individual appliances for a long time using the electricity of the common area. Moving-in and Moving-out 1. Before moving in ① Submission of Application form for the Dormitory Please offer to your supervisor. *We do not accept the application form from International students themselves. 2. Moving in ① Arrive at the Dormitory    Get the key and guidebook (including a map of the nearby area, various documents to be submitted). ② Participate the dormitory’s Orientation       ※Excluding April and October, the manager will directly explain the dorm’s rules and regulations. ③ Submit the residence notification     Please submit residence notification to the manager within three days after moving in to the dormitory. ④ Read and follow the residence guide     Read the residence guide carefully provided in each room and observe the rules while living in the dormitory.  International House : Japanese English ⑤ Pay for the dormitory’s fees     Please pay for various fees before the due date of each month. 3. Moving out ① Submit the notification of moving out         Please notify the manager before 10th of the month before the desired date for moving out.    (Ex:Notify manager before 10th February if you would like to move out in March) ② Inspection of the room prior to moving out        House manager will inspect your room to check the damages and so on before the date of moving out. ③ Move out the dormitory         Please return the room key (including the card key for building entrance) to the manager’s room. Fees To stay at Dormitory, you should pay housing costs (usage fees, facility fees, cleaning fees, deposit) and utility expenses. Please pay your usage fees to the office by the day written in the delivery notice. Upon violation of the rules for the international student dormitory, you are ordered to leave     In the international student house, over-night stay of non-residents without permission is prohibited. Garbage not properly sorted are not collected. Please take your garbage out to the garbage station in front of the International House on the designated day of the week. You cannot leave it in the common areas such as the kitchen. You cannot use any garbage bag other than those specified.
